“When are you gonna get up there and tempt us with that ass?”

Mathias Covington laughed and continued shaking the mocktail. “Not gonna happen, man.”

“Aww, not into subbing on stage?” the customer asked him with a grin.

“Not into subbing at all,” Mathias answered.

The man’s grin widened. “Yeah?” He tilted his head a bit. “I could totally see you topping a cute twink.”

Mathias chuckled, letting the guy believe whatever floated his boat. Twinks were okay, but Mathias had zero desire to get with one. No, what he wanted was someone strong, older, experienced, who could handle a wolf’s brand of domination.

“Here ya go, man,” Mathias said, sliding the dude’s drink over and taking his money. He handed the guy his change, which promptly wound up in the tip jar, along with an extra five bucks. Mathias nodded his thanks before turning to the next customer.

On stage, a Dom was demonstrating proper sounding techniques. His sub moaned and writhed as the metal rod slid down into his hard cock. Mathias glanced over to one particular couch just in time to see an almost imperceptible shiver slide up Cain Steel’s spine. Mathias’ gaze zeroed in on the master vampire’s right thigh and the hand that just barely brushed over the man’s balls.

“What’s got you so entranced?”

Mathias shook his head and turned back to the bar. “Just zoned out,” he said to his fellow bartender, Keris, a fae who always managed to get better tips just by fluttering his long lashes and gossamer wings.

The rest of the night passed by quickly. By closing time at three in the morning, Mathias was ready to get out from behind the bar. He finished up cleaning, and then he pulled down the shutters to seal off the bar area. He grabbed his leather jacket and headed for Cain’s office for the nightly report. He knocked on the doorframe and spotted Cain at the desk.

“Come on in, Mathias.”

Mathias wandered in and dropped onto the leather couch opposite Cain’s desk. Cain was busy looking at his computer, so Mathias took the time to admire the vampire, just like he’d been doing for the past several decades they’d known each other.

Bright blond hair fell straight down Cain’s slender back, nearly to his ass. He was tall, though Mathias still towered over him. Crystal blue eyes seemed to see everything at once when Cain surveyed his club throughout the night. Mathias wanted to see those eyes widen with uncontrolled pleasure.
