Friends with Benefits

Description

After a disastrous relationship implosion, I didn’t think my life could change any more than it had. Then I moved into my best friend’s place. One party, one game of truth or dare, and our friendship turned into something very different. Where do we go from there, though?

EXCERPT:

The breakup was nasty, to say the least, and a friend of mine offered me his spare bedroom. It was great, save for the fact that he lived nearly two hours from the campus. Thankfully, there was a small college about half an hour from his place, and all my credits would transfer without any trouble. I showed up at his door later that evening wearing a sheepish grin.

Justin pulled me into his apartment and hugged me. It felt genuine, unlike Mark, who simply wanted a dick up his ass and nothing more. Justin and I had been close friends since high school, and, even though he was straight as a fucking board, he had no problem expressing platonic love.

He helped me get my things from my car and listened to me prattle on for several hours about how much of a dick Mark was. Justin was always the perfect confidant; he knew when to listen and when to give advice. He was great; too bad he was straight. I admit it wasn’t the first time the thought had crossed my mind.

The guy was a piece of eye candy and then some. He stood about 5’10” and had the muscle tone of Adonis. His hair was short and spiky, brown at the roots and dirty blonde at the tips. Walking through a metal detector with him was a fucking trip, though. He was obsessed with piercings and had quite a few: a barbell in his tongue, three studs in each ear, a tiny ring in his right eyebrow, rings in both nipples, and a ring in his navel. His boyish face lit up when he laughed, and he could make even Ebenezer Scrooge smile on his worst day.
